Anne McKenny ’79

 

After graduating in the third of four generations of Mount Holyoke alums, Anne McKenny began a 39-year career with General Motors. She started as an engineer in vehicle emissions testing and continued as a senior engineer, engineering manager and most recently as an IT manager responsible for all the IT systems and applications used globally in GM for propulsion system development, testing and certification.

McKenny is co-head class agent for MHC class of 1979, served as co-chair of the most recent presidential search committee, serves on the Board of Trustees for Cleary University, serves as trustee and Vice President of the MLM Charitable Foundation, is PMP certified, and serves as an elder in her church. She is also a member of the MHC club of Ann Arbor, Helen’s Circle at Cleary University and on the Leadership Livingston steering committee. She was the vice chair for the most recent presidential search committee and is a Mount Holyoke Medal of Honor recipient.
