The Arts & Technology Initiative

The Arts & Technology Initiative seeks to transform teaching and learning across the arts curriculum — music, theater, art, film, architecture, dance — and with other disciplines to prepare students for a globally connected 21st-century world.


The Asian Center for Empowerment

The Asian Center for Empowerment serves as a space that provides support, education, community and a meeting spot for students within the Asian diaspora (including, but not limited to, Asian, Asian American and South Asian).

Department of Asian Studies

The Department of Asian Students helps students explore the rich and extremely diverse cultures of Asia, home to some 60 percent of humanity.


Department of Astronomy

The Department of Astronomy helps students study and understand the nature of the universe and the various structures within it —galaxies, stars, planets, atoms— how they are formed and how they change.


Mount Holyoke participates in 13 intercollegiate varsity sports and a variety of club sports, including rugby and ice hockey. We also have a nationally renowned Equestrian Program.

The Betty Shabazz Cultural Center

The Betty Shabazz assists and supports students who identify within the African diaspora (including, but not limited to, African, African American and Caribbean) through interactive programming and as an overall space to come together and celebrate.

Biochemistry Program

The Biochemistry Program helps students build on a background in the fundamentals of both biology and chemistry and to develop an awareness of the unique principles of biochemistry.
